Required Qualifications:

• Graduate ofan APTA approved School for Physical Therapy Assistants

• Current State of Alaska Physical Therapy Assistant License in good standing

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in an acute care setting or equivalent experience

• Current BLS/CPR certification

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Valid driver’s license and car insurance

• Reliable transportation

• Willing to travel from home to home, participate in on-call and weekend/holiday coverage rotations 

• Good driving record

• Knowledge of a variety of physical therapy techniques and modalities

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate closely with Physical Therapists to implement comprehensive therapy plans.

• Provide hands-on assistance and exercises to patients within the comfort of their homes.

• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.

• Uphold Alaskan Home Health, Inc.'s commitment to the highest standards of business and professional ethics.

• Follow professional standards set by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

• Provide services in compliance with all state and federal laws governing the hospital’s operations.

• Maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, employee, and other sensitive information.

Salary: The hourly range for Alaskan residents is based on the prevailing wage rates issued by National Prevailing Wage Center for the current year, as well as  several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
