Occupational Therapist Assistant

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant with Alaskan Home Health, Inc., you will collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists to implement effective therapy plans. Your role will involve providing hands-on assistance and guidance to patients within the comfort of their homes, focusing on enhancing their daily living skills and promoting independence.

Salary: $30 — $40 / hour

Required Qualifications:

​

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

• Current State of Alaska Occupational Therapy Assistant License in good standing

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in an acute care setting or equivalent experience

• Current BLS/CPR certification

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Valid driver’s license and car insurance

• Reliable transportation

• Willing to travel from home to home, participate in on-call and weekend/holiday coverage rotations 

• Good driving record

• Knowledge of a variety of occupational therapy techniques and modalities

Essential Functions:

• Work in tandem with Occupational Therapists to execute comprehensive therapy plans.

• Provide direct assistance and support to patients in their home environment.

• Collaborate with patients to develop and improve daily living skills.

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress.

• Foster a positive and supportive environment for patients during their rehabilitation journey.

Salary: The hourly range for Alaskan residents is based on the prevailing wage rates issued by National Prevailing Wage Center for the current year, as well as  several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
